View attachment 1209331 I have an ice maker totally contained and under my control. If I wanted that quote unquote, I would put on 17 layers of clothing, empty my freezer and grab my flashlight and Steven King novel I have been neglecting and climb in. Until then my shorts will remain on while I chuck scratch to my chickies.

I just shoveled snow again in shorts and a T-shirt. My feet are still a bit cold. Don’t ask what I wear at night when I go out. :D
I’m thinking I really need to go outside now, and figure out the snow blower. :he

To show you I am still a good sport about the whole frozen thingy.. I am going to stick a Canadian Flag sticker over the label on the door that has the option of ICE or WATER.. Guess what option your flag goes onto? If we get anymore rain, I will put a Florida State flag over the H2O side.. lol
:lau

I think you've already earned the FL flag over the H2O side! I can't remember ever getting so much rain here... generally we get plenty but not too much.
I guess you are aware Florida is completely over an aqua fur. We are held up by lime rock caverns of water. Sink holes and the whole 9 yards.
ANYWAY.. :( our well water was crystal clear and clean. Now that the Aqua fur is being majorly replenished, all the rock and silt/iron/sulfur and earth crap is in our water.

We had to buy a filtration system recently. The ice cubes started to smell like fish, toilets turning rusty and we were smelling like rotten eggs after taking a shower.

The only way I would be shoveling white snow in shorts is while having a belly full of White Russians..

Snow looks good on post cards, not backyards..

My young buck has figured out how to climb fence literally
I have had young-ins climb out from the corners. They are excellent climbers..

I used to keep fancy guppies; half blacks, specifically. I wanted to develop a strain of solid blacks, but was talked out of it. My aquarium shop owner told me that the solid black would be cancerous, plus it would take a lifetime and a whole lot of money.

I had fancy guppies - very nice ones including some half blacks as 2 of the country's top breeders are in San Diego and they were very generous with sharing. Even got to be a judge at a local competitions. But I tell ya - guppies make chicken math laughable.

My poor DH. He was so tolerant. However he should have stuck with the fish as chick dander on his tools drove him even more crazy.

No more fish and no more chicks now (and stay married!!!)

I knew better so I only bought males. :plbb My tanks multiplied but my fish didn't. I have 3 10s and a 20. Only one 10 is currently in use. That 20 is going to end up housing German Blue Rams in a few months. After I find a good source that doesn't use hormones since that's apparently a problem with Rams.:idunno

:gig One of the cockerels sounds like he's shouting "It's freezing cold in here" when he crows. I'm naming him Connie.

We have a ton of Lime, what system did you go with? I have been considering filtration. I am just not sure which whole house filter to get.
