EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

You've been taking notes on Benny's offerings; I can tell :drool
CL came through for me again. Got an email day before yesterday on my 3 extra roosters; they just left here.
I said something to DW about cooking the next batch & feeding them back to the flock. Ain't happening! She don't want to put up with the mess. :thShe'd have been in a pickle 100 years ago.

Congratulations on rooster buyers that came through! Nothing ticks me off more than when I load up all the chickens, drive to the meetup spot, and they don't show nor ever reply again.

Roosters are selling like hot cakes! Good for you. We have a guy coming for a single swine today and Sunday 4 if they do what they say they will.

The stir fry last night was the last of the Berk shank. We had company over and filled their bellies. Even though the shank was smoked/cooked out doors days ago, the smokey smell came out in the steam from the wok while heating it up. Hickory.. yum.

He showed up <5 min late; I was impressed. I wasn't really worried about it; another guy, who's responded to my ads in the past, was waiting in the wings in case #1 bailed on me. I told him I'll be hatching a new batch in the Spring, and would undoubtedly have extra cockerels to get rid of, so he might want to be on the lookout for my next ad.

I got tired of being stood up a long time ago. I'll wait on someone for an extra half hour; beyond that, if they haven't called, they're just plain lucky if I'm still around.

This was the 1st time I've tried to sell any of them; wasn't sure whether I'd have any luck at all.

Like I warned you yesterday, I'm moving in! Too many meals at your table & I wouldn't fit through the door, though.

I’ve got a guy coming Sunday. Hours drive for him. I don’t do CL there’s probably 3 guys at work that would buy them. When the word get out that I’m selling old stock they come out of wood work. I have taken them to them at work before.

Have you seen me?

My blue Icelandic rooster was last seen Wednesday morning. I saw him outside in the morning before I had opened the coop. Deb said he was in the buck barn Tuesday evening when she did goat chores. Looked for him Wednesday night, wasn't in coop, buck barn or doe barn. Looed around the back pasture, no feathers, blood, or body found. He's just gone. :barnie
