How are the chicks from the broody doing. Did you give them to friend?

They are doing good and growing fast.

I have not given any away yet, can't tell sex yet and she only wants hens.

I have a couple I'm not sure of, but I have two crowing besides the old man; it's getting downright noisy all day.

so how did the gold heads turn out? Cockerels or pullets?

I think of my 7 chicks two maybe three are roosters. They hatched. 9-26 from broody as well.

Okie, sorry I haven't done this sooner! I think I was banty who asked to see my still life I did at art class, so here it is!

The one I did last week was better, this was was much bigger so it was a bit harder to shade...

Great job, funny too after the spider clips.

Alright, second candle of the day. I may have gotten ahead of myself this time.

Left egg has no veins but I could see a small dark yellow spot, one at the line of the air cell and another closer to the point of the egg. The lower one moved and I decided maybe it was a web? Not sure. Anyway, I made the pip bigger. Membrane was still soft. I think my patience has run out. It's been sitting there internally pipped for 60 hours.

Right egg is very vocal but still has some big veins, so I left it again.

Hang in there you are doing great. Congratulations on the hatches so far.
