@Fire Ant Farm Hi! Yes, you can just search goat polio. There is a good article on Tennesseemeatgoats.com

Good luck getting the chores done. I was going to get power strung and dug to the red coop yesterday, but the goat that got sick was at my friend's place and then she wanted help with a project before she left. By the time I got done, took the goat home and sectioned off a shed with a couple of panels for Eclipse I was out of daylight. I despise the short days and regular time. I really wish we stayed on Daylight savings time year round.
Thanks! Yeah, I'm really hating the low light even more this year than previously - I have more chickens, so I have more to do before it gets dark... I have been known to garden with a headlamp until 11pm, though...

do it.....
good morning
To make brown sugar you need one cup of white sugar and one tablespoon of molasses. Mix the two together — this job is faster if you use an electric mixer — until completely incorporated. Use it or store it — it doesn't matter, because you just made brown sugar.

soon you will though!

could be rain water?

Almost missed the brown sugar thanks

The leg hooks work pretty well. I had made 2 prior to breaking down and buying one. The one I bought is much stiffer. You sometimes have to adjust the gap for different size birds.
They avoid the hook but not nearly as much as a net. With a group of birds, there's enough mayhem that you can always hook something.

The first 2 I can do, hold the worms.

I don't get nearly as much done without a list.

I remember that from the book "Sugar Blues".
The author had severe diabetes and used brown sugar thinking it was healthier than refined sugar.
During his research on how to overcome diabetes, he took a tour of a sugar plant in Hawaii. He was shocked to see them take refined sugar and add molasses to turn it into brown.

I've installed lots of solar thermal and solar water panels on homes, industrial and government buildings.

IMO, I wouldn't advise them for chicken coops though unless there is another heat source. An unheated building at 5 AM in the middle of January will be about the same temp inside as out. Making it toasty warm during the day and then dropping to ambient lows at night will stress the birds much more than just letting it stay cool.

I was fortunate to get 5 cockerels butchered yesterday. The coop fairy came up to help. I slaughtered and gutted and she plucked.
Wow, I wonder if I could get a visit to clean the coop :lau

anytime, refining sugar is just taking the molasses out to make it white, so very easy to put it back
i remember a class one time and we needed dark brown sugar but only had light, and someone thought the recipe was ruined rather than thinking about what makes it dark

Get a D.light solar latern. They are great. Inside in a black out they are great for lighting it will light a room. I read for hours with one. Outside I use them all the time. I unloaded and stacked two ricks of wood from my truck with one hanging on a branch that was still bright when I finished. I recommend them to everyone.
A MUST HAVE.

Well, yeah! I had 12 oz of Fireball last night, and a healthy dose of Rum today. Jell-O shots are chilling.

...

LOL! Why ever not?
I agree. I think I remembered everything I wanted to do. But I can't be sure. I should have made a list myself.

I can't say my day started all that badly. I was actually laughing at all the things that were going wrong. I have cleaned, baked, and rearranged a lot today. I am sure I will still get more done. I just now remembered I wanted to cover the windows. It will go slowly, since I don't have enough plastic. I am already using a trash bag for one.

She has helped clean coops many times. She even painted one of my coops. But I've done a lot of things for her too.
We're both organizers of a chicken group. Plus, she no longer has poultry so she likes playing with them. She had chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese. (and dogs, cats, parrots, etc.)

My dad, sister and I once had a worm farm. We explored the worms for human consumption thing. But it isn't my thing as long as there is grass fed beef, bison and lamb.
