@Sally Sunshine one of the scovies had the wild type pattern. Two had the wild pattern but a silver instead of chocolate. And 5 yellow, but one has black on it's head.

It's raining! It's a chilly rain, so I'm not out in it, but I am certainly thankful, as are all the plants. All the pea, radish, turnip, and lettuce seedlings are up, as is all the garlic and shallots. Apple trees are happy - this is so much better than hose tap water.

Joe Black (who now has the moniker "JoJo") insists on coming out to greet me and chat with me whenever I'm near. He's a real charmer, and has a hysterical crow... (Smart boy, doesn't want to be culled!)



I have lots to do this weekend, for work (grading, writing an exam, etc.), as well as chores at home. But TONIGHT - tonight I'm doing some READING...

They're much quieter than guineas. The only time I hear them is when the door to the house opens, coz they think I'm coming out to give them treats....

.It also has heat, but if I pull the heater to put it in the shed I'll be shivering too hard to aim at at a deer
