essential component of snow- snow , hopefully, not part of my world, either
essential ingredient for beer making - also not in my world

I know I repeated part of your list.
Hydrating gardens doesn't create shallow root systems if done correctly. Deep watering weekly during drought. (minimum of equivalent of an inch of rain)
Not hydrating gardens in the absence of rain leads to NO garden.

I forgot about sailing and sail boarding.

Snow is essential for fun.

Quote: Totally unrelated to your problem, but you said you use the Rutland Creosote Remover with a hot fire. The directions simply say to use it on hot coals; don't mention fire. Am I overthinking this thing? I used it for the 2nd time yesterday; that lid is a real bear to remove.

I'd try to limit her motion for a bit by putting her in a carrier or cage. But still pull her out and move the leg around to keep it mobile.
Did you trim the feathers from dipping into the wound?

Yes, she's in a small dog crate with deep enough bedding to cushion her leg.

I have. I also sprayed the wound and immediately surrounding area with Betadine.
