we only have Bald Eagles here... Once many years ago I saw a golden eagle it was far from its natural range but that what is cool about birds they can show up anywhere..... The Golden Eagle was huge compared to the Bald Eagles I am used to. Yesterday I was going on a ride and saw a couple Eagles... I took a pic to share... I couldn't get real close though sorry...@Fire Ant Farm
We only have bald eagles and those are fairly uncommon. I've lived in LA for almost 30 years and I've only seen bald eagles twice in the wild here. Golden eagles are even more uncommon. I think it was a red tailed hawk; it appeared to be easily twice the size of the ducks, which are roughly the same size as wild rabbits. There was no banding on the tail, no hooding, no real markings on the breast. I couldn't get close enough for a pic.
