That one lone hatched chick is all fluffy, dry, and bored. Leaving him in there because all others but one are pipped, but he's like, "Dudes, come ON, HATCH already!!!!!"

I don't want to open the 'bator, of course - it'd be like

Fire - if I hatch these 8 eggs in my incubator, you want them. They'll be cochin, EE, polish, and sex link/EE cross ^.^

Because, you know, not enough chickens.

My toddler and daughter made me paint their nails this purpleish sparkly red color (daughter) and mint-green for my toddler son. LOL

OMG, nononononononononoooooooooo..... In addition to the 30 I've hatched and the 6 in lock down, I have 50+ coming in the mail. I'll be lucky to have enough places built to house them all before it's time for freezer camp for the non-keepers. NO MORE POULTRY!!!!

That is AWESOME!!!!

But but... cute little cochin booty..... how can you say no to the fluffy butts?

So weird - two of the "pips" I have are mostly long single cracks in the shell - not a zip, but a long single crack extending halfway around in some cases. And there's a pip spot, but no visible hole or membrane. Weird - I hope these little ones are getting air. (Not that I'm helping...) This happened with the Puppy eggs for the last hatch as well. I'm wondering what it is about these eggs that makes it that way.

(Sorry - essentially impossible to photograph so you can see it through the lid...)

Lil' fluff nugget is SOOOOOOOO bored in his little basket.....
