I never even take it into account when I breed for myself. I look at the traits I want and breed them. I suppose I could get caught with a defect someday, but so far it has not happened.

The exception being the toads before this generation, I know exactly who was related and how then. I had so few I could not forget...

Poor toads!

I've had really bad luck with shipped eggs, and the fertile egg I put in from my bantam cochin hatched no problem. ^.^ So, I put in a few more from my flock to figure out if it's really "me that sucks" at hatching eggs, or if it's really just horrible shipping eggs that did me in.

I put 3+ 5 dozen silkie eggs in, in order to get a flock of 7-8 silkies. (not including the 2 I bought from mypetchicken lol)

Twins are doing awesome. They have gotten to the point they notice each other and somewhat interact with one another. Last night they played a game of still each others bop (pacifier) for around 15 minutes before they both decided it wasn't funny anymore. Pretty much sleeping through the night (7-8 hrs). Speaking of teeth, they both have the bottom two trying to come in, we will see how teething goes.

Duckling wasn't into pacifiers, and I only found one teether she occasionally liked.
Perhaps you have had them before (they've been around a while), but JIC, are you aware of the bibs with teethers built in?

Interesting, never seen them. Both of the eldest did really good with teething so hopefully it will go good this time around.
