Go figure, egg production drops (due to broodies and lazy free loader) and NOW everyone wants eggs.

Well, I only get broodies once it's too hot for chickens to be safely broody. And I always have either too many or not enough eggs for folks who want them. You can't win.

But hey, I bartered half of a five gallon bucket of pure chicken poop for about ten bags of leaves today. Can't be all bad...

Oh, yeah, because we are SOOOOOO alike - the similarities in the way we like to set the thermostat are FREAKY!

Thermostat here stays about 60° in winter. AC goes on at 80°.

These photos are more realistic (though perhaps less impressive). There was a little "take the dang picture already or I'm going to drop this thing!" going on... And for contrast, the world's tiniest flounder... I stayed at the Laughing Horse Lodge on this trip to Port A, which is very bare bones, but fine for a fishing trip and dog friendly, so I brought my greyhounds (they didn't come fishing, of course). Gotta love a place to stay that has a fish cleaning shack right there among the little cabins.

Are red drum good to eat?

Haven't had that problem yet.

Just no pleasing people. Really though I don't have enough ducks, only have six, two are broody (well one is deciding anyway) and one is a six month old slacker. So I'm getting about 3 to 4 eggs a day.

Keep up with me? Who wants to especially on days like today. Up at 4:15 milk goats be at work at 5:15 work till seven, get home milk and do chores for two hours, sit for half an hour checking BYC and lighting the fire. Now it is past time to go out and feed the last bottle to my kids before I can collapse and repeat. I am so sick of my hours. It is time for a new job so I have time for something other than chores like riding. I am trying to hang on till after my vacation.
