So I know little about Ayami Cemani, but this local wants $900 for this pair. Doesn't one have gold leakage making it worth less? Same dude has cull chicks because toe nails are white. Don't they often turn black after meturity? I am not currently in the market for these. Just want to soak in some knowledge if I can.

It might be - and it's a bit too early to tell. And remember, they are being compared to a cross that I made using a VERY exceptional rooster I got from a batch of chicks from Ideal and some big GNH girls. Some folks have a hard time finding large NNs. At a minimum, looks like I'll get a nice large cockerel NOT related to Tank out of this, which is good. Probably some nice sized girls as well (we'll see). I'll be weighing them weekly, so we'll be able to get a good idea of their growth. The fact that there is one in there at 2.15 oz at 2 weeks old make some think that shipping is a lot of it.
If this were a goal of yours (big NNs), you could order 25 chicks with the plan to cull all but the very biggest, best, and healthiest. That's what I'm going to do anyhow. That's how I got Tank and Snape.
