Go chickies. How small do these guys stay? Mine are much smaller than my EE and HRIR chicks.

is this really cancer on my dog
Is that what the vet told you?
He/she did the examination, we didn't. He/she's a vet, we're not.

Can anyone kindly tell me how every time I try and take a few chicks off my short list for this year, it grows instead?

So many breeds, so little space...
I feel you. I had so many breeds on my wish list in addition to the 30 breeds I've already had.

Then I grew a brain and decided if I wanted a good breed with quality birds, I only had enough room and time for one breed.

Toss in a turkey hatchling quick, before they're fully awake; they'll never notice.
Or an emu.

Two little ducks went out one day
Over the hill and far away
Mama duck said, "Ralphie! Get my babies out of that pot!"
But only one little duck came back
Cute.
Did you make that up?

I let my teenager in my bathroom last night and he unplugged my incubator. *faceplants* I was 4-5 days into 3 eggs I actually wanted to set. I love my bantam cochins.

Back to the drawing board I guess. Silkie and SilkieX cochin cross... if the eggs aren't salvagable. It was 72 in my bathroom but the eggs felt cold to the touch.

Don't give up on them. The first week that may not be deadly. Read this for more info.

Hmm. Sounds rough, but if you can get another opening soon, it can be doable.
Just remember your health. Stress, poor sleep, poor diet... Don't go having health issues over a job.
I really have time to look for something I want. I have motivation now, and the knowledge that I could get another driving job if I have to fall back on it.

Good Morning all!

Thanks for the coffee, beautiful Abi. Also, those poor ducks!

@kajira We recently acquired a new pet rabbit, she's a Holland Lop and so sweet. I was debating getting one of Dan's (since he is close enough for me to drive to), then we discovered this one that needed a home. Her previous owners moved and left her in the backyard to fend for herself. My daughter absolutely loves her!

Smart.

There's so many different breeds out there that it triggers flashbacks to standing in the candy shop as a kid, wondering what I should buy, lol...
