EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Well, I did join the BYH version of this.......so if you all would let me, can I stick around? I won't cause too much trouble. Well in saying that, I won't cause too much trouble as long as Banty doesn't show me any pictures of Jace.

Hey everybody! Glad we are back in business. And just in time. I have creeps hatching today in my new Genesis.

One of the babies just popped out and I see a few drops of blood. Should I open the bator and put some flour styptic on it, or just monitor? Here are some bad pics.

They should be alright, I've had the same thing happen to me.

Begone, you vile chicken stealer. :smack

The babies are in their gangly teenage phase.

Also, there is one random feather-footed one. I have no feathered feet in my flock so this is puzzling.

I'd look REALLY carefully at all of your chickens. I set some eggs from a certain hen once and hatched a cockerel with feathered legs - turned out his mom had a few feathers on her legs that were barely visible. I had no idea!

I wish you could have gotten those Isabellas
Me too. I plan to try again this year, but I won't be buying from MPC again. I'll probably go with Carolina Rare Chicks next time.
I know there is a big dif from yall down south to us prissy up here, people have a hard time selling one with horns up here too. I guess its just ignorance up this way.
Horned goats are pretty common down here. The Nubian/Boer doe I had as a kid had horns.
