Just because ketamine caused me to have a bad reaction, doesn't mean it's not the right choice for you.
I'm a firm believer of people doing what they need to do for their own health and safety. I hope if you have to go the route of using ketamine, that they are able to do it with out having negative side effects for you.
My issue with ketamine is how nasty the side effects are if you have a bad reaction to it, it's also been used as a date rape drug in the past, so if you're one of the people who has that reaction to it (being stuck in your head, not able to talk, or respond or move, but aware of everything and feeling all the pain and everything else that's going on to you) it could cause emotional issues.
I actually had a flash back last night, from the c-section where they used ketamine, because I was having panic attacks related to getting pregnant and freaking out about the potential risk of multiples and being put in a position again where that doctor is the only one on call locally again if something goes wrong.
So, my aversions for it, are just for personal reasons, because I've had the "if ketamine goes wrong" situation. lol
But, people take it to get high and enjoy it, so it's not going to effect everyone the same. You know??
If you need it, then use it. If the doctor thinks that's one of the only options to you, they know what they are doing. (I would assume.)
