What flavor?Yup.
BBQ?What flavor?
In my mind it was less about worrying about chemical leaching per se, and more that if it made the water smell or taste bad they wouldn't drink it or drink enough...
These have much smaller pads (that photo was in a little 4 or 6' pot) - prickly pear are these giant things and also in prickly pear, you can see the thorns more easily. In the bunny ear cactus, it truly just looks soft and fuzzy until you grab it because they are so small. (Prickly pear are weeds here, and so hard to get rid of because even a single pad that falls to the ground will root. There's actually an additional surcharge when taking your brush to a recycling place if it includes prickly pear.)

Very high tech. I'll get a picture of mine when home. Weight is accurate against a 5 pound bag of flourI use this, hang from the middle beam of the conduit "roof" and hang a large bucket from it - works EXTREMELY well, quite accurate, will hold the weight once it's locked in (very nice when dealing with an unhappy chicken who doesn't want to be in a bucket).
