The term "city Girl" is coming to my mind, if you do not know what "black Flies" are....BTW You would wish for a thousand house flies instead of 10 Black flies.

A thousand thousand. Trust me, if you don't know about them, you don't want to. We have plenty of the other kinds of bugs and flies, and I'd take them any day.

I am wondering if what you call black flies is what we call Noseeums... They can fly through a screen and take a pound of flesh and never slow down. Our black flies are 1/4 inch long or so. A normal screen will stop them.

Yeah, I used to call them that before I found out they were really 'black flies'.
 
Ok, we have both here, I am not sure which I would call worse. The black flies get really thick and will down a moose the Noseeums just eat him standing upright.
 
We call them noseeums here. They haven't been too bad. (I'll be wishing I never said that)

I've seem 2-3 young dragon flies...the end it near!!!!! yell.gif mosquitoes!
