EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

How long has she been sitting?
When it starts that cool here, it usually doesn't get above the mid 80s. If it is in the mid 90s here, it rarely drops below 80 at night.
That all goes out the window when a big front moves through.

Prayers and good vibes coming your way.

She's been setting on eggs I've given her for a day. There's some eggs under her that are four days older. When and if I catch her off the nest I'll pull them. She's by herself so no more eggs will be added by other hens. The last broody had hens laying on top of her. Staggered hatch that was. I took the chicks as they hatched and she stayed with the rest till done.

I came in for a break from fencing. The heat here is unbearable, it is up to 78 degrees and feels like 120 in the sun!

this goes for you too if you think 78 is hot!

I'm in for a break as well. Luckily I was in the shade. It's only 90* so far.

If I lived there I would be lying on my back in the shade with the sprinkler running over me...and whining about the heat the whole time,,,and you know. I am not a whiner like some VWN'er is...
