If I hadn't trained my dogs not to chase the chickens I'd let them after the rooster. Johnny boy has to go, he keeps attacking the girls and I'm too big to catch him right now.

Nah, but my FIL does. I'll try isolating him first and then if he won't stop then I'll catch him and cull him. Benefit of him hogging the food is that he's nice and fat now, he'd make a good chicken adobo or curry.

Thanks, yes it is good news. I just wish I had my job situation sorted out too. 13 hours and 40 minutes later I I am headed home to do chores get something to eat try to sleep a little bit and I have to be back at work 10 hours from now. Can anyone else say yuck.

Farmer here; grain, cattle, sheep, chickens and bunnies.
Yet people still think I have hogs/work at the hog barn (that was almost 2 decades ago) and have goats. (They're sheep)

Maybe some new clothes and a really good bath and people would stop thinking you work in a pig sty....
