EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I've been using this new homeschooling program, and I *love* it - but I just had to figure out how to handle a high school education/diploma situation and how many credits to graduate and what requirements most colleges expect for class completion so my kids don't' miss anything. Their accreddited highschool program is 500/month or 5000 a year, and I can't afford that one, but the offer the same classes for the homeschoolers at 9/a month per student --- but you'd have to manage the credits and diploma

Have you heard about freedomproject Academy? It is online, though I am unsure about costs it is supposed to be a classic education based on Judeo-Christian values.

Went to grab a handful of newly grown pasture grass for the smaller piggies for a distraction cast, and a caterpillar was crimped up in my hand. First it felt like I grabbed a pile of glass. Then it felt like my hand was on fire. My hand turned bright pink in a speckled pattern. I ran to a water hose and the water did diddly squat. Had to finish all my chores before the hard rain comes back. That distracted me from the pain. Now that I'm done, I soaked my hand in ice water and globbed a ton of cortisone 10 on it.
Having an allergic reaction. My veins were turning dark. I just took some benidryl. sucky morning.. raining again. BUTTERFLYS SUCK.
:tongue
Ouch. That’s awful

My teenager atm is considering himself a possible athiest and mostly agnostic. (Much to the chagrin of my mother in law who feels I failed his religious education.) I was hopeful he'd even be willing to get his GED - and then I found the program I'm using now and he's willing to do school work - it keeps track of everything and they take 6 classes at a time for 9/month and it's all logged with records. I do nothing but have him log in. In makes my life *so* much easier since he's willing to do it.

My daughter is all into jesus and god - but she goes to church for those classes. I'm not a huge fan of mixing religion with education, as I feel they are an optional choice and not to be forced on a child. I think the fastest way to push a kiddo away from god, is by telling them they have no choice.

That's what happened to my teenager when his grandparents were all into god around him non-stop. He lost interest and didn't want to go. He only went to sunday school to hang out with more kids, but once his views became obvious to kids who believed in god, they no longer wanted to hang out with him. (Most of his friends were pastor's childrens when he was younger.)

My daughter's very into god and all her friends are, too. So, we mix social hang-out with religion values for her - for now. She's 7, we will see where she ends up in 10 years lol
