Hey guys, Incubating inquiry here! :jumpy

We just picked up a bunch of French black copper maran eggs (davis/jean line) so I need all the advice I can get on hatching these puppies! Cause DAAAAANG are they expensive! I've read they do better at 101F. Can anybody confirm this? I've got a new thermometer/hydrometer coming via amazon and currently am making a DIY water wiggly thing a ma bob. :clap

I have better results at 101 with all Eggs but you have to know your thermometer is spot on. One thing I learned from Easter Hal leaving empty space between egg rack really helps fan distribute the heat better. That 101 is top of egg.

It isn’t the temperature so much as humidity. Though I admit that they never died when I had a temporary spike in temperature. The humidity was kept around 40-45% for them.

I'm not sure if that is possible for my incubator set up but I'm going to try!

I usually hatch dry, as I have problems with sticky chicks otherwise. I'll have to calibrate the new hydrometer once it comes in and see what it's reading at.

With mine the racks are easy to leave eggs out. The round table kind wouldn’t matter
