EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Thanks. :)
My last hatch was EEs, BA Red Ranger crosses and brown leghorns. I’ve got some going into lock down on Saturday that will be BA, BA X RR and EE.

I currently have 18 adult ducks, three 17 week olds and 39 ducklings (replacements I bought because mine aren’t laying.) I will be thinning my adult flock to my 5 Ancona’s and two crested Pekin hens.

We’re up to 20, we had about 27 but we’ve sold several and we had a problem with neighborhood dogs for a bit. (Which we’ve been working on fixing, LGD, electric fence around the bottom of the perimeter and such)
is this why you got the new pup?

Some guys are working on the house next door, and got a look at Steven’s spurs. They thought he could beat a fighting cock, and were remembering a breeder fondly.
My hens aren’t torn up, and Steven isn’t aggressive. So is there a problem with his long spurs?
trim his nails and spurs no biggy or do the hot potato I prefer to just clip them, if they bleed a bit it stops lol, I am mean :)

Mine have all sorta crap to lay on, big spools 2 sizes, a skid play thing and so forth... what do they do? Lay on the steps and the picnic table, oh well they own it now! I do love sitting at the table and they just lay there waiting for rubs. better than them thinking they are still kids and trying to lay in my lap!
