Thoughts of the past...
DH would ask for a tissue. I would give him one. Then another. Then another. Then another... His big mistake was putting them down when his hand got full. He would automatically start taking them again.

This are my first attempts of leather tooling, would appreciate your opinion, remember I don't have the professional tools, all my tools are makeshift one that I have made from bolts. It impossible to find them here, and the one I have ordered have not arrived yet.

Not bad at all for the first attempt. The only thing that's readily apparent is that you need to move your beveler along at a smooth pace, rather than hitting it with the mallet, moving it a little bit, then hitting it again in separate movements. With practice, those individual impressions will go away. You're off to a decent start; it'll come to you, & you'll be turning out pieces in your sleep. Or, if you're like I was at first, instead of sleep; I couldn't put it down...I was addicted.

You really need a decent how-to/instruction book, like Al Stohlman's; it'll smooth out the learning curve considerably.
