Falling Down Heights, my daily life

Prepping for a multi-day deep freeze (-30c). Got some extra wind protection on the rabbits, and going to grab some supplies to get me through this.

I HATE WINTER!!!

At least I'm in a warm house.

Yes glad you’re safe and warm!

I hate winter also.

The deep freeze starts tonight. After a lovely day hovering just below freezing. Followed by a white-out snow storm, which cleared almost instantly into a beautiful sunny late afternoon.

Mother Nature needs a shot of estrogen.

It’s fine at my place and a blizzard here at work. Crazy lake effect snow squalls

Well, we made it through the first night. Another brutal one tonight, although today is not good either. -30c plus windchill is awful. The dog did his business then begged to be let in within minutes!

I put additional windbreaks up on the cages, added tons more straw, and they are all on double rations today to help with the energy needs of staying warm.

I'm expecting Fudge, my chocolate tan Rex boy, to have eaten all that straw by morning, because he eats *everything* like he's been starved for days!

Thank goodness we're not expecting the massive amounts of snow some of you are going to get. Warm thoughts to all of you (except @fluffycrow who does not need them, wish I was there with you buddy!) and please stay safe!

It was -27C here (now -15C), but hold on to you hat…. My sister in Washago was -37C without the wind chill hahahaha - yep that reason alone is why I won’t move up north! Not to mention the 7’ of snow so far this winter she has.

Spain is looking real good right now.

Stay safe peeps. Wish we could send some of our temps over there. Hoping it passes soon, and without any losses for any of you.
wish I was there with you buddy!

Maybe from next week :p . This week, we had extreme flooding, and at least one casualty as a result

Holy Frijoles! We have less than 30 cm on the ground, but that mostly due to Mommy Nature going through menopause and getting heat flashes all the time, melting what fell.

We can move to a nice private island off the coast of Spain together, Pony! :D

Oh dear! I didn't know about that. So hard to get all the news nowadays with the way the world is going. Stay safe, Fluffy!

Yeah, with so many things going on, it’s hard to hear about everything. Quite similarly, I would not have known about this polar storm that is hitting the US and Canada if it were not for BYC. Everyday I log on, it seems scarier and scarier. I think I saw -40C on one thread. Once again, stay safe!
That private island might be a good idea for you both, though funding that purchase might be a bit tricky :D.

Thanks. It looks like it’s over now. Our area only had minor issues (a road collapsing and another one getting blocked off due to fallen debris), thankfully
