I have eggs on the way, hoping they all make it by the end of the week. I am so excited to begin the adventure once again! Hopefully I will be setting eggs by Sat or Sun, if they all get here on time.

Good morning everyone. Bitter cold here today. 1° and feels like -10°. They put schools in 2 hour delay and the cars aren't happy about starting. I haven't dared to venture out to the coops yet but I'm going to have to very soon :/

I just finished up out there and my last heated bowl is frozen over :/ I guess it's possible that it's still working and the top is just frozen but doubtful. I have 2 more in the mail due in another day or two but I had plans for this one :/ Oh well. All birds are looking good still but they're starting locked up. I don't care how bad they want out lol

Too bad about the bowl. My chickens are free to go out, but they mainly stay in the goat barn.

It's mostly the ducks, geese and turkeys that want out. All my chickens would take one look at the white stuff and run!

We woke up to 50 degrees, no wind and rainy here. Actually the temp is really nice but I guess we have another ball chilling front that’s gonna hit around lunchtime. We’ll see if it’s ball chilling enough to freeze this sloppy ground.
