What happened to your llama?!

the one this spring I think it was possibly related to Thiamine deficiency or parasites. I gave him B12 complex in 5 minute and wormer and everything when he first went down and he responded a bit to the Thiaminebut it wasn't until later I learned that they could get like goats and just said Thiamine deficiency. this one we are entirely unsure heat stroke maybe? all I know is he managed to lay down beside where I have the wellhead which I have three t-posts around and two strands of wire around that just to keep the critters from rubbing on the faucet. when I found him he was crushed in a normal position just beside that but for some reason his head was underneath the bottom where and then up over the top or the bottom wire and then back in front of him and laying in an entirely normal Kush position but he was dead. no idea.. it is strange, but I had just been checking him over the night before cuz it was about time to warm again but he was in good shape and looked good.

I already had a new small one on order to stay with the babies and yearlings, but he won't come until we're past the heat warnings. now though I'm in trouble because finding an adult good-sized male is really difficult around here right now. I am just not equipped to deal with dogs and I work too many hours. especially when the only thing available lgd wise are 4 and 5 month old or younger pups that need training and time not to mention the expensive of keeping dogs.

@BullChick so what are you up to today? I am working, and wishing I could go to the state fair this weekend. unfortunately, I cannot afford to do so. I chose to pay the vet for her help with my girls in the hopes that I get some really good kids. life is full of trade-offs. that and it's like a 4-Hour drive each way. yuck

Right now I’m watching mind numbing television, and pondering where I can find what I need to build an aviary. Fortunately, I figured out how to put the quail in the storage area of the coop over the winter, and get more light in there too. I still hope to get the aviary done though!

so what is the hold up? materials? or a plan?

While I can change the plan 1,653,957 times, it’s materials. Namely screws or nails long enough. I’m not sure why I cannot find the right length and head online.
