I got the incubator ordered. Along with a new tray and wire bottom for my 1602N.

I may have slightly fallen in love with the ducks. I generally don't like them because I've been smacked in face so many time. They were preening my hand last night and it was hard not to decide I like them.

The girls were out of the box yesterday, and they had four eggs. I marked them, and left. I returned a while later, and one jumped out to get a drink. I saw a Welsummer egg I swear wasn’t there before, and grabbed it despite the glare I was getting. The mean thing pecked me!
Of course, a good broody does in my opinion. The other girl (Miss Loud) is too laid back. Patti Russo is going to be the big momma, and the other will be more of an aunt.

Yesterday I had three pancakes on eggs. Last night I went to move them to the floor (dog kennel), and the new one jumped out. We’ll see what happens the next few days.

I had my phone and an egg in a jacket pocket. I hung it on the back of a chair, and heard a thunk. Duckling couldn’t understand why it was funny. Do you guys get upset when an egg breaks in your pocket?

Depends on what else was in there. I had an egg break in my pocket in the middle of church once—that was a bit exciting.

Terribly angry. Too much on my mind and I forget I stuck an egg in there.

I am less likely to waste homegrown meat, but more likely to not care about the eggs.
