600,000 gallons/day? More than 2,000,000 liters/day?? You are using an Olympic swimming pool of water every day!.....and who will pay it?
If it was my water district I would have to pay. Probably why they require owners to install. The meter was 20k and I don’t own the meter for that. I get the privilege of having their water for that fee. The bill for 600,000 gallons would sink me.

I didn't get all the numbers for every day since March but the lady at the water company went back in time and she said starting March 22 I was losing water 24/7. One date, May 10th, I used 5,000 gallons. The volume kept increasing till apparently the leak blew out the gasket on the fitting. That was when the numbers skyrocketed and probably when I started hearing it. On the 19th, 465,000 gallons escaped, on the 20th it was 529,000 gallons, on the 21st it was 485,000 and on the 22nd it was 607,000. The lady on the phone said I would have to pay because the loss was on my side of the meter. I could apply for a leak abatement and then arrange a payment plan. On the plus side, the guy that fixed it said he put in his notes that they were at fault and not me. Time will tell.
I had overpaid a couple years ago and hadn't gotten a bill since then. When I get one it says,
'Do Not Pay'. It has always been a negative amount due. We get billed quarterly so I can't imagine what the bill will say but it has to be coming soon. I'll keep you informed.
I can imagine a bill in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
I can't imagine when they started seeing unusual usage at those levels why they didn't try to investigate. Especially when they knew they just replaced the meter.
I spoke with a friend in Florida today and he said they have to make the connection on their side of the meter.
I think since they required a meter replacement here, they do the whole job. Had I not been home when the meter was replaced, I wouldn't have even known it happened.

I see a lawyer in your near future.

Come to think of it I think they hook up their side. The crazy thing is the way it was set up I could have done it without the meter. They didn’t know I had water service to the bottom of the road. I had to show them even then they said it was for a neighbor. Things were different in the 70’s when it was installed.

Sometimes it is very wise to be quiet......

I have to feed them in the second run that the coop's attached to, to get them to go to bed. Some of them are perfectly fine going to bed when the pigs do but the rest expect their bedtime snack. I've created little monsters.

Geeze, I'm glad you don't have to pay for that. That's insane! Here I thought the 20 or so gallons we lost a few weeks ago when the faucet for the hose broke was going to give me a heart attack. I had to run and turn the pump off before it emptied the tank.

I bought two more Govee H5074 sensors since they are so inexpensive and I got free shipping. I put one in the hatcher today and I figured out how to see them both on the phone at the same time. The third on is for when I get the other incubator running. In the meantime I can use it in a brooder.

Another downside is that I set the high and low temperature and RH alarms but they aren't easy to hear on the phone. Perhaps there is something I can do about that.

I can't get over how accurate they are. The only downside is that I have to be on the same floor as the incubation room, in the kitchen (below that room) or nearby outside for it to read.
I bought a Bluetooth extender but that project failed. How this extender works is to either receive or transmit. But it does do audio and video/tv. I just need something to boost this simple signal. I don't know if there is something like that on the market.
Thanks again for the recommendation.

I must have been mistaken when I wrote down the set date on the first setting.
I went up to move them to the hatcher and they were already hatching in the top shelf of the turner. Note to self - always writee the set date and time while looking at a calendar the day they are set. I'm confident the other dates are good. I knew the first one was a guess. I seemed to remember I set them on a Friday. Apparently I set them on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
I don't remember how many clears I pulled last week but the 6 I left in there all hatched.
I haven't candled the eggs yet from the next 3 settings but there are 54 eggs between them.
This morning I set 29 more eggs. I'm not sure if this will be the last of the year or not. I sold most of the chicks I hatched back in April. But of the ones I hatched earlier, they have started laying about a week or so ago.

I set 27 or so on Thursday. These were set in the barn so big gamble there. Temps swing wildly however I have them in their own insulated box and they have hatched during the cooler months.
How old are the penedesenca before they start laying.
I think the last egg just made it out. Wife can hear it peeping. I don’t hear that sound anymore.
