EE a Roo or Hen?

That looks like a girl to me. Rounded feathers and color make her look just like our 16 week old EE pullets.

That's an EE roo. The coloring give it away. How old is it? You should start seeing the pointed hackle and sickle feathers between 3-4 months of age. Also, pullets will spar with each other while tring to establish their positions in the pecking order, but I've never seen them jump on the backs of other chickens. I've had a mature hen do that because we had no rooster, but that's not typical of young ones. Sometimes a dominant hen will start to act like a rooster when there isn't one, but not at a very young age.

that EE is defenitly a roo, because if it was a hen, it would have no significant comb.

Chics, thats a girl. EEs can be tricky, but especially by 4 months old, you would see very sharp shiny hackle feathers and some sharp shiny saddle feathers, and theres none there.

Okay, Egg Bandit - I tried your flip test with "Jade", who was supposedly sexed at the hatchery. She/he puller her/ his legs in immediately. Jade's coloring looks girly to me, but the face is getting so red, and I'm just not sure yet. What do you guys think? She is around 16 weeks.

100% girl. Only the girls will have the "partridge" color. Which is the gold neck, brown back and the gold chest. She should be laying for you soon, based on the color of her comb.​

Jade is definately a girl. That is a black breasted red wild type coloring and only the girls get it. The boys would have red sickle and hackle feathers with black breasts. Not that all over red with penciling on each feather.

All her feathers are rounded. Typically a lighter breast than the overall body means girl. She may be getting ready to lay and that is why her face is red.
