My daughter loves your gold laced. She think it looks like butterfly wings! They are very pretty. Did you get them from a hatchery? I got my birds through the feed mill from Mt. Healthy here in Ohio. I will have to look on their website to see if they carry the wyandottes! Thanks for the pics. Your girls are gorgeous!

Thank you, That golden laced did come from a feed store, so yes to hatchery. the BLRW came from a person local to me, but their birds probably came from a hatchery.

Mt. Healthy has them! I will have to order a couple in the spring. DD will be so excited when she gets home from school! The only other color they have is the silver laced and all of my birds are black or black and white and I want some color out there! We are going to the fair this weekend and will have to look at all of the breeds that they have there and see what they look like in person.

I went crazy to all the fairs and a few poultry shows last year just to get to see as many breeds as i could. It was so fun because in most cases the pictures dont do justice to the breeds. If i could only keep one breed, with all i know so far, it would be silkies. I would hate to have to pick......but i think they are the most fun to have.

Thanks! I'll keep them in mind and check them out this weekend. I think I will let the kids each pick a breed to have as their own too. Should be interesting to see what they pick!
