Has anyone had a blue (gray) EE chick before? I got one this time that is pretty much solid gray/blue. Was wondering if anyone else has had one and what it would look like as an adult.

These are the other 2 EE that I got as well as the blue one. The 2nd pic is one I got for someone else.

EEs are mixes. They have been crossed at some with Araucanas or Ameraucanas so they typically have the beards/muffs, pea combs, and body type of one of these two breeds. But the egg color and feather color/pattern can vary widely. The feather colors can range from solid colors, barred, splashed, spangling, to anything in between. And the eggs can range from blue, red, green, to pink. It's hard to say EXACTLY what s/he will look like when older but there seems to be some splashing on the wings.

Oh I know. I just love trying to figure out what they will look like. I got 2 last year (one turned out to be a roo) but they were both light one a very faint gray (not blue but a true gray) and white and he turned out more splash, the other a lighter color and she turned out white and brown but more white.

I just hadn't seen a really BLUE/Gray one before so I picked this one. :)

I had a grey EE chick, she turned out blue with some red, even. But she was a little different than this chick. View attachment 3064901
Here's what she looks like now. In my experience EEs are all different because they're hybrids. It's a bit of a fun surprise to find out what yours will end up looking like
oh she is so pretty! I love seeing what they turn into! I got 2 last year (one was a roo and was more splash he was sooooooo nice looking I was sad he was a roo. Would love a pullet kinda like him). I try to go for the lighter ones not the chipmunk pattern ones. LOL Can't wait to see what these ones look like as adults!

One of my EE’s is very blue. You can see her puffy cheeks facing the camera in this photo. At least, I ordered an EE... so I’m assuming she’s an EE? 🤣

Oh so pretty! Guessing with those puffy cheeks she is an EE! Was she blue as a chick too?
