They are so adorable! Lil Coo looks like my Dottie did as a baby. I posted a picture of her at 7 weeks. I wonder if yours will resemble her at that age? Never know with these chicks. Ive seen dark chocolate brown ones turn black & white! After waiting to find out what your EE looks like grown...then wait to see what color egg she gives! Lol

I'll definitely add progress pics as she ages. It's amazing how many varieties of EE there are. And Dottie is beautiful, I'd love for Coo to look like her! <3

My 3 EEs with AC in background. Mostlikely not f1...2 did get the fibro gene and have black skin. My favorite birds...soooooo sweet!

Possibly.. but they're smaller than our other f1 EEs. So I'm not sure. And so sad...we always assumed the b&w one was a roo. Just had a bigger comb. Around 6 or 7 weeks, it started mounting other birds and acting very rooish. It also had patchy white feathers on shoulders. So I thought our suspicions were confirmed. Then, almost overnight, it started acting like a pullet. Looking like a pullet...all those round feathers... nothing pointy. And white patches started emerging everywhere...
Something that happened with a white hen I had years ago. Her b&w barring just got replaced with fairly white feathers as she continued to mature. I watched for weeks for pointy feathers on this EE...was so sure it was a roo but finally, allowed myself to get excited that she was a pullet. She looks like a pullet despite the comb and wattles. And then, a couple days ago, I noticed green on a tail feather. Not too alarming since the AC is in background. Saddles are still round but when I moved wings aside, I saw pointy saddles coming in way up high on back. Noticing some on neck too now. It's a roo and I can't keep him

We purchased an "Ameraucana" chick from TSC, but I stumbled upon this thread and now I assume he or she is most likely an EE? They were sexed pullets but it appears that sexing is often incorrect with these cuties

Any opinions on our "Lacey" this early? I think she was around a week old in this pic (if the store staff was correct) . I sure hope she is a She, my daughter will be very disappointed if it turns out a Roo!

Wow! Everybody's EE's are so unique and beautiful!
My EE chicks from local feed store. The bins had Hoovers boxes stacked up around them so I assume this is where the chicks came from. They are 8 weeks now and look way different than at 7 weeks! They all seem to be getting more blue in them now. I need to update pictures of them! Lol

Looks like blondie is going to be white. I cant wait to see what she looks like full grown! Coo looks like a mix of my dottie and georgie..she is gorgeous!!! Really like the pic of her wing spread.
