EE colouring / plumage - chicks vs/ adults --- Post your PICS!

Pics
I do love these EE's. the transformations are amazing !!! I love seeing the before and after pics.

I wish they'd catch on more. I think they are a wonderful creation and the colors and the colored eggs are fun.

I love this thread is so neat to see how different they look from chicks to adults. I love EE's.

Here's one of my favorite EE Girls, Hadlee as a few days old.

oh newlyweds, you've given me hope that my little one like yours may grow into a girl. I posted a picture, a couple of posts before you.

I have grown attached to this chick and worry it's going to turn into a roo. I have no room for more roos. at max.

It's all Illia's fault! I've got this really light chipmunk EE that I'm hoping is a pullet, and I'm really hoping it's not a roo! SHE is gorgeous and of course I know this post is worthless without pics and she's only 5-6 weeks old...I'll post a pic tomorrow!

5-6 weeks? Well by now the chipmunk should be gone, and the gender easily told by the color of the chick.

Sorry if I put a damper on people's chick hopes.

what do you mean sex easily known by color of chick? or are you just teasing. haha.

Not teasing. Easter Eggers tend to be quite easy to sex by color once they've feathered out.

- Young chicks on the other hand are tricky, but I do find the super light chipmunks with good eyeliner and a long streak of black trailing after to be boys.

what colors tend to be boys. I'm curious, interesting stuff. I now have 18 babies running around. trying to figure out what they are.

should the combs be pinking up yet, close to 5 weeks of age? and do tails signify anything. I have some with very upright long tails.
the feathers on the older ones came in super fast. there were 8 in the first batch, all different colors and sizes.

here's some pics of them, what do you thnk?
