Bernadette is about 6 to 7 weeks old now and here's how she looked as a baby:

Here she is today. Pretty typical EE coloring, We call her our little hawk:

She's Beautiful Lisaa! Here's our Babe, she is going on 5 weeks, her tail feathers are completely in and she is officially mothering all the other chicks!

A sweetie! She looks a lot like Bernadette did. She had that same brown "V" on her head, and the eyeliner.

I really like watching how the EEs change from fluff to feather. This is a cool thread!

She is feathering SO much faster than my orpingtons that are 1 week younger, and she's huge compared to them! My DH asked me today if I had her on steroids because she so large. Lol, of course not! I wonder if that means she will start laying sooner than everyone else?

Our Bernie is smaller than her two roommates, but she's also a week younger. I don't know who you could expect to start laying first - I've read here that EEs sometimes take a little longer to start.

Babe has started sitting on my two little babies, a Dom and a BLRW, and if anyone gets too far away from her she (?) herds them back to where she wants them. Do you think that makes it seem like she's a she? It's still to early to be definitive, but its killing me not knowing! I'm so impatient!

I'm obsessed with my one week old babies! Ordered nine from My Pet Chicken. Seven survived. One is scissor beaked:( so I'm not sure how that will work out.

And here she is now at about 12 weeks? She is not sweet YET! I'm hopeful. She is fast and she runs away all the time. Hopefully the new batch will be more calm and friendly.
