EE colouring / plumage - chicks vs/ adults --- Post your PICS!

Pics
I should qualify this by saying these were hatched at home from a BW Ameraucana roo and a variety of hens. They aren't hatchery stock EEs, so don't have the typical color patterns as much.

This is Peregrine (formerly Clarice, lol) saying, "Hello World!":

I also want to include a pic of one of my favorite EE girls ever. She was the mother of that first bird in my previous post (Peregrine). She was killed by a dog last year.

So I've just cruised through this thread from the beginning, and it appears to me that their baby colors don't very well predict their final colors. But is there also an intermediate juvenile or teen color, that changes when they're really adults? Or do they go from baby colors to the final version? I've just gotten my second pair of EE's. The first pair came from a feed store, looked exactly alike as chicks and grew up somewhat different. The second pair (from Mt. Healthy) looked totally different as chicks, but have feathered out nearly identical. All are variations on the duckwing/partridge thing. I guess the only way to predict is to actually see the parents?

That is part of the fun of EE's, you never completely know what you have until they are finished "cooking", and a very common EE trait.

So, is THIS the EE thread? Iposted photos of my EE on the Ameraucana thread and was put in my place. Im just very excited about the perfect little EE I hatched and wanted to share her.

The EE thread is on the first page, called the EE Braggers thread.

This thread is for showing the progression of each EE chick color you've experienced, and how they turned out, so yes, it is still an EE thread.

There is a different EE thread it is called EE braggers thread, and is fairly active and less ..........ummmmm........... rigid???? then the Ameraucana thread. This thread is a very friendly thread also for EE's.
