We had a "problem child" EE from the very start.
She was always pecking at and chasing all the other baby chicks.
We named her Cull early on.

She is almost 5 weeks old now and still the most difficult of the bunch.
She is no longer the bully, but she is always the last one to allow me to catch her.
And when I do catch her, she screams like she's being killed.

Anyway, she turned out to be quite pretty.

Here she is as a day old chickie:

Oh my gosh this is such an awful thread!!! I got my Golden Laced Wyandottes, and I love them dearly. But now all I want are some of these EE's!!!

here are some of my latest batch of babies, they are now 2 weeks old.

I am curious if anyone can gander a guess at what colors they might turn into from looking at their feather color and pattern now.

Here is my first group of EE chicks. Here they are at a week

Pony was killed by a dog at 6-7 weeks:

Pony and siblings (we gave the roos away before the dog attack, so only the three pullets were killed)

Pony a few days later:

Prissy (pullet, killed in the dog attack)

Cindy (was in a different group, a couple of weeks younger. I still have her)

These are my first EEs the first chick on here i have two of, there all just a week old and there growing fast, cant wait tell there big

im just hopeing i get alot of blue girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any one have any guesses on what to cross to get more that look just like Xena here?? I LOVE the coloring on her!!! Also, I think I read or heard somewhere that if they have a straight comb instead of pea comb that they will lay brown eggs, is that true??
