I haven't posted here in a while and wanted to show some EE chicks vs. adults and some progression in between!
Here are both of the EEs. Wendy is brownish chipmunk on the right, and Lady is the greyish one.
Here is Wendy with her cute puffy cheeks!
I don't know why these photos keep showing up upside down and sideways, how do you fix this?!
Here she is a little bit older, in front of the BR.
A little bit older still, in front of the BR roo. You can see her starting to get her dark grey feathers in on her head and neck and more grey on her back.
And here is ugly teenage phase!
Here she is all mature and beautiful.
Here is a picture of one of her eggs. Sometimes they have some speckles on them, sometimes not. I've found that to be true of the brown egg layers, too.

Not to toot my own horn, but the photo is featuring one of my handmade books that I sell in my ETSY shop (link in signature), but it's the only picture I have on my computer of her egg!
And now on to Lady. He was supposed to be a girl. As punishment, he kept his name.
He had a speckled head as a youngling.
He actually feathered out just as quickly as the hens, including his tail feathers. And started showing white on his wings early on as well.
As he matured, his head was totally black.
Here Wendy and Lady are together again.
As he matured, he started getting those speckled spots on his head, and here he is today.
He's a dapper fellow!
And here are his marking a little more detailed along his neck and back.
Lady started out as the alpha roo. Then one day Henri got huge and told him who was boss, and now Lady is the beta. The two get along pretty well for my small flock of 8 total and the hens don't seem to be suffering one bit, mostly because they won't let Lady mount them any more.
Edited for fact checking.
