EE? Gender?

Sometimes coddling a too can lead to them thinking they’re the boss, lol. If you post pics of the others you’re questioning we might be able to compare easier.

I had an EE rooster. He was great. He was too “forward” with girls til he matured. He protected his girls from a predator that killed three. He went from Gabriela to Gabriel. He never hurt me. If the dogs got close he herded the ladies into the coop.

That was my fear too. We live out in the country and I’m not opposed to having a roo if he behaves himself. In the meantime, Janis is getting extra cuddles, just in case, before he/she hits puberty. (Does that ever help with softening up a roo’s personality?) In any case, I’ll post an update in a couple weeks. 🙂 Thanks!
The opposite has been true for me. My Avatar (EE also) has been the only rooster I’ve had that would not attack and he’s the only one that was completely hands off by me and my daughters. However, I do believe that it all depends on the bird.
Looking forward to the update in a few weeks.
