EE, is it a girl or boy?

I just picked up 2 hens, and the lady had some strait run EE's they had hatched out. I picked one up, but I don't know if it's a girl or boy. I don't know how old it is either. Does anyone have any ides on sex and age? These were the best pictures I could get, I didn't want to get too close and scare him/her while it's settling in.

I'd guess about 6-8 weeks.

And Iam going with hen. Although thats quite a lot of tail feathering...

Yep, what the pp said. Coloring looks pullet, feathering looks roo. 8 weeks would be my guess as well.

I agree..not much comb happening there yet for a Roo....but some are late bloomers..lol. But definitely around 8 weeks old.

I really hope it's a pullet! Our 2 EE's were recently taken by foxes. I was thinking that those tail feathers looked a little suspicious, but maybe they're growing like that because her back end has been plucked by one of the other chickens???

I agree with everyone else on the age I think 8-10 weeks, leaning towards pullet. But I'm no pro on that part.

Hi all! I just wanted to know if that particular color has a name. Our EE was eaten by a hawk back in December

and she looked just like that. Might be weird but when we get more, I want at least one to be that color, she was just so pretty!
