Are yours all pullets? I have 3 Australorps right now but they're only a week old so they still look like penguins.

I grabbed them from the pullet bin at TSC so I am hoping they are all girls. I wont know for sure until they lay eggs but so far no signs of a rooster. Would you like me to post pics?

Oh, they're just beautiful...and they do look like mine. I caught pictures of all four of mine I'm going to post to see if I can see who's he and who's she. Thanks for sharing your girls!

Well the mom could have been my Buff Orpington...isn't the Australorp just a black version of the BO???? So the genetic people should tell us if the Silver EE could offer a gene, combined with the Buff Orpington, give us a similar genetic makeup to the Australorp?

no, black orpingtons are black versions of the buff orps, australorps are related but they are slightly different in some way or another...

OK, I caught all four...I think....not the best pics but might help. Check out #2 she has NO comb????? What's up with that?

Just giving this bump up for mljohnson05 who asked me to post pictures of all four of the black girls. Thanks! Gotta figure it out and rehome before the boys start to crow!

I apologize for the blurry pictures, unless I sit down and spend some time with them they are on the move! I'm going to retake #2 because I think it's a pullet but that could partially be based on the lack of any comb at all? Is that normal? What can you tell me about no color and no comb?????

I am not sure if this will help you or not. My EE roo is a little bit younger than yours here is a picture of General Dali. He has similar colors to your original photo minus the red face. My poor australorp is below him sporting her blue-kote, she is too young yet to see her coloring nevermind her fight with a goose
