The feathers are looking feminine but the pink in the comb would worry me. Was she stressed out by the photo shoot (I find the combs pink up more with stress and excitement and can fool me for a little while until I look at it over time).

I didn't keep him, but I didn't eat him, either. I was looking at chicks at TSC one day (because I have to look, you know) and started talking to a guy who was thinking he wanted straight-run birds because he wanted a rooster, but TSC didn't have straight run of the varieties he wanted. I told him that I'd give him a rooster when he wanted one, and gave him my card. Never thought I'd see that guy again.Did you keep this one? Boy I'd love one that colour.. So pretty!

Well, he did call me and that boy was the one they picked out of the meat pen to take home. He did turn out to be lovely, all red on top with a strong blue tail and belly.
