Our Meyer Hatchery Assorted Hatching Eggs arrived this morning. Going to let them sit until late tonight and then add them to incubator once my kiddos go to sleep. As far as I can tell by using the breed code we have:
2-Barred Rock
2-Black Australorp
2-Black Copper Maran
2-Easter Egger
2-Lavender/Black split to Lavender Orpingtons
4-Olive Egger
4-Rhode Island Red
2-Salmon Faverolles
2-Welsummer
I feel like that’s a lot of pretty decent stuff to start! Incubator has been running since the 18th, holding good temps and humidity. Wish us luck!

I need some help troubleshooting. My incubator had been holding and doing fine until I put the eggs in last night. Overnight it dropped to 28% humidity and I immediately added water when I noticed. I got back up to correct humidity and has been holding all day, but what could be making it drop overnight like that? I haven’t had any issues until now. I don’t want it to continue doing thatI was up until 1am last night and it was fine when I went to bed.

Even the humidity in the air can mess with incubator humidity. One little trick that I have always used is to run a vicks humidifier - the thing that puts moisture in the air. Don't put any vicks in it just run it. It can help your incubator keep humidity a lot. If you don't have one - I would really think about getting one. Who knew that it could also help in incubators keeping humidity!

I was just going to ask if that's the one you have. Mine does that too so I started putting a little distilled water, maybe an ounce or two to start with in the B side. It's humid here so not sure why I need to use both before lockdown but whatever works.
