I used to have leopard geckos and was told you could affect what hatched by heat. Pretty neat.

Your so lucky, I have to wait till march to hatch baby chicks because its really wet here. It might be still wet in march so I'll see how February is.

It’s so dry for a winter here. Usually we get lots of rain.

I’ve heard conflicting opinions on when to candle for the first time. I’ve heard so far 4 days-7 days and I’ve heard some say not at all. What’s everyone’s opinion?

I think it'd easiest to see at 5 days.

I'd go with 5 as well. I'm still learning so I'm by no means a pro, but this last hatch I tried to wait and candle at 7 days, couldn't resist and candled at 5 days, it was easy to see the development in some while others were completely clear.
