Just curious if EEs are slower in maturing than other breeds. Or could it be the declining day length?

Mine are almost that same age and I get I think 3 eggs from the 12 I've got. I feel that they will lay only when they are ready to too.

My chickens are all 25 weeks and the EE's the only one's not laying yet. Also, they are very sweet but seem to be at the bottom of the pecking order in our yard.

Yippee! At 25 and 1/2 weeks one of the two EEs gave me her first egg! Just had to share!

My EE was almost 26 weeks old before she laid. Give her time, she will lay when she is ready.

I have 2 americanas and only one is laying and it took her 26.5 weeks to do that.:o I didnt think she was ever gonna lay an egg, now i'm waiting for the other one to start. I've gotten 3 eggs in the last 4 days.
