OH MY I am SO sorry...My heart goes out to you for the loss of your hen. Maybe the egg broke inside her..if that be the case there is nothing that can be done. At least she is not in pain anymore.....

Yes that's true... I am so sad about this. She sort of had convulsions suddenly when we were given her fluids. I feel bad about saying this, but I'm glad we don't have to worry about her while we are away.

I have had chickens die in my arms and they do go into convulsions.....It is bittersweet that it happened to begin with, but you are right about not having to worry about her......sigh...........

You shouldn't feel bad, you did what you could, she didn't make it. It happens... Enjoy your time away knowing that she's no longer in pain.
