Egg bound hen

I have a egg bound hen.i soaked in warm water and episoms salt and Vaseline her vent area.i can see some of the egg.then a little while later I seen a litttle bit more.is seeing the egg a good sign?

If the egg is coming out, continue this treatment. Also provide her fresh water she has probably drank some of the epsom water and is dehydrated.

I was with her the whole time she never drank any of the episom salt water.there is water and food in there

I soaked her in episoms sal for about 1 hour and vaseline on her

The egg came out last night.there is still a little bit of a bulge

She may have some residual swelling, but keep a check in case she again becomes egg bound or suffers a prolapse which can be common with egg binding. Here are some good articles to read:
