Today I found French Fry and was not acting normal. She’s keeping to herself and stands or sits all hunched up with tail down. I gave her 600 mg of calcium citrate plus D3 already a few hours ago and just soaked in epsom salt bath and massaged abdomen. I’ve only seen her pass a little watery, mucoid poop today. I saw what looked like egg yolk and watery poop below her spot on the roost, but no egg shell or membrane that I could make out.
She was fine yesterday, not sure if she laid. She did scratch through a compost pile that hadn’t been turned in a while. I saw her nibble an egg shell before I shooed her away, I hope that didn’t make her sick. Her crop seems a bit full and squishy. Not sure what to do now. I haven’t seen her eat, but she did drink from a puddle when I ran the hose around 11 today.
Am I stressing her out keeping her inside? Should she go back out with her flock? She was keeping to herself and staying in one place.
