It was cold weather when my girl got sick, so I brought her in the house to lessen the stress to her from being out in the cold. Plus, that way I could really keep an eye on her. When we finished a course of antibiotics, I would start free-ranging her with the others, and then after a couple of days, put her back in the coop. After a week or two, we would see signs of problems, and start the cycle again. I know she missed her flock mates, but I think I would have kept her inside if I had to do it again, if it was winter. In summer, I'd definitely try to keep them with the flock as much as possible. They perk up so much.
