We have a sick silked Easter egger. Both wings down. Tail down. Skinny and losing weight. We have her isolated with some water with added recovery 911 and vitamin B complex. We just euthanized a chicken at the vet that suspected Mareks. This one isn’t presenting the same. There isn’t a one sided paralysis like the other, she is just weak all around. She is 24 weeks old.

I suggest deworming her quickly and gently feeling around her cloaca for a lump. Watch to see what color her poop is.

Okay. Check her abdomen for lumps or squishiness. It should be firm but not hard
No lumps on abdomen, just very boney. She has lost a lot of weight. It’s hard to tell when they are so fluffy 😞

You may need to tube-feed or at least force-feed her, unfortunately. Is she drinking water??

You are doing the right thing for her 😊

She was actually eating when I put her by herself. I’ll check her water this AM and see how much is gone
