Hi all -
I hope someone can help. I have a 7 month old buff orpington who is showing signs of distress. She has been in her nesting box for 2 days now, feathers ruffled, and it looks like she is trying to push an egg out. Yesterday, I tried the warm water bath and then wrapping her in a towel and holding her on my lap to calm/warm/relax her. It did not help at all. I have been feeding her warm oatmeal w/olive oil - which she gulps down. She is able to walk around, but only if I take her out of her box. How can I tell if she is egg bound? Could it be something else? HELP!!!
