Egg collecting, what's your favorite collection container?

My grandma taught me how to weave traditional egg baskets (the kind that are shaped like a butt

) and they work really well. The eggs don't roll around too much, they stay in the "butt cheeks".
I also use egg cartons, especially when I forget where I've stashed all the baskets!

I would love to see handmade basket pictures... If you sell them please let us know.. I LOVE handmade items and look for those all the time...

I use egg cartons as well. saves time and they don't bounce off each other and crack which has happened in cans.

The 3 baskets in front were made by my grandma. The large basket in the back was my first attempt at making one on my own.
I have a smaller one (about the size of the little red one) that I use for eggs.
I used to go to my grandma's house after school and she taught me how to make all kinds of wonderful things. Unfortunately, I don't think either of us has made a basket since. Perhaps I should get back into it- I could use a bigger basket for all these spring eggs!

What great work the both of you have done. I have not made a baket of any kind since Jr. High. If you had more small ones I would say, hook me up

LAMchop. Wow what beautiful baskets. I appreciate those so much, as I tried my hand @ basket weaving and found it very difficult. What a great talent to pass through the generations
